This is Coretta Scott King, wife and partner to Martin Luther King, Jr. In her memoir “Coretta: my life, my love, my legacy” she recalls as a young girl gazing at the stars, knowing that she was destined for greatness. Her husband’s legacy of non- violent social change was and is just as much her own. That message was the wellspring of her deeply rooted and steadfast faith in Jesus.  She inspires me because she changed the course of history through her own unique artistry and giftedness in music and vocal performance.
